Saturday evening, October 4th marked the first get-together for students, staff, supporters and others interested in the ministry of the Institute. This was the first of a series of monthly gatherings for worship, brief inspirational instruction, and socializing. A vespers service was held, followed by a Memorial Service for Archbishop Arseny, who fell asleep in the Lord on October 4, 1945. Students from the Readers’ Program and Liturgics class did portions of the services. During the gathering for refreshments afterward in the hall, students were introduced and a reading of part of the life of Saint Arseny was given.
